Pick a failure mode → tick the candidate batches → assemble the matrix.
1 · Identify the failure
Drives the candidate set on the right. The failed batch will be the column flagged Known Bad.
2 · Pick what goes into the matrix

3 · Assemble the matrix
Pick at least one batch in Same product code — that becomes the primary failed batch.
What happens next
- The investigation opens with the failed batch as the primary "Known Bad" column and every other checked batch as a comparison column.
- The matrix auto-populates from the immutable batch records — Header · Man · Method · Material (with intermediate drill-downs) · Machine · Test Method · Environment.
- Each test result is colored by the 14 Shewhart/Nelson SPC rules. Click any cell for the production control chart.
- Right-click cells to override Known Good / Suspect / Known Bad. Right-click on a lot ID to flag that lot in every investigation that ever uses it.
- The AI Insights panel above the matrix surfaces the highest-leverage axes to investigate first.
